There are four ways to join the lab. Pick the one that fits you — each section below lists the eligibility, funding and how to apply.

PhD Positions

You can join MMVL through any of the national PhD fellowships below. Admission is always through the IIT Jodhpur PhD admission cycle. Before applying, you are welcome to write to Dr. B. Santra (bikash@iitj.ac.in) or the lab (mmvlab.bs@gmail.com) to discuss fit and ongoing problems.

Project Positions

Junior / Senior Research Fellow (JRF / SRF) posts on sponsored projects funded by ANRF, DBT and others. Apply to an open position directly using its Join Us button.

M.Tech / B.Tech Projects

For IIT Jodhpur Students

We discourage non–IIT Jodhpur students from applying for M.Tech / B.Tech project positions.

IIT Jodhpur students interested in an M.Tech thesis or B.Tech project (BTP) should write to Dr. B. Santra — or simply drop by the lab — to discuss the problems currently on offer.

Long-Term Research Internships

We do not encourage applications for short-term internships.

Meaningful research takes time — we carry a problem through to completion, so we take on interns who can commit for the long term. If that describes you, get in touch using the button below and we will reply if there is a good fit.
